    TIME

    Converts an hour, minute, and second into a time.

    Syntax

    =TIME(hour, minute, second, [millisecond])

    Parameters

    1. hour
      • Type: Integer
      • Description: The hour component of the time.
    2. minute
      • Type: Integer
      • Description: The minute component of the time.
    3. second
      • Type: Integer
      • Description: The second component of the time.
    4. millisecond [optional]
      • Type: Integer
      • Description: The millisecond component of the time.

    Returns

    • Type: Number
    • Description: Returns the time value from specified hours, minutes and seconds.

    Example

    =TIME(11,40,59)
    =TIME(6,20,38)
    =TIME(A3,B3,C3)
    =TIME(A4,B4,C4)

    Notes

    For TIME function it is necessary to switch the format of the cell to Time in the ‘Automatic’ menu.
    TIME will recalculate numeric time which fall outside of valid ranges.
    TIME will cut off decimal values input into the function.
